HOCKEY TOURNAMENTS ARE BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This past weekend I went to Waterville Valley for my oldest son's hockey tournament. Rink was beautiful, condo even better, resort outstanding and my companion the best ever! We ate out often, the cheeseburgers were to die for, I ate so many salads, my skin started to look green! After the kids finished their game on Saturday, we headed to the mountain for a little skiing. The fabulous base lodge bar/restaurant had summertime music playing, reminded me of happy hour days. We sat outside, top of the restaurant, in the sunshine. We were working hard on our T-shirt tans. Our crazy sons snow boarded shirtless, (to be 14 again) in the 50+ degree weather.
Suddenly somebody had the bright idea of ordering snackage, lots of snackage! My friend Joy ordered the most delicious looking nachos, piled high with mexican metled cheese, spicy chili, jalepenos and all the other regular fixings. I did not eat one, not one! I could not however make it past the buffalo wings, they are my most favorite! The smell alone put me in a food coma, yes, that's it, a food coma. That's why I caved. I ate a few, not the entire bucket, wanted to, but put the brakes on after seven wings.
Here in lies the problem when dieting, trying to win a contest and having to participate in our regular lives; we often get so tempted, so re-directed and side tracked from our goal at hand. Focus and determination is key. It is all about moderation, I get it!
Sure would be nice to be able to eat what ever I wanted. My friend Linda for example, eats those huge honey buns, comes to work at lunchtime with McDonalds or Wendy's and never gains a pound. How is that fair? Hate those people with super metabolisms!
The weigh-ins are not my favorite part of this contest; I am not a big fan of the scale. I have decided to take it up a notch and give Stephanie a run for her money over the next few weeks. It's time to get serious and quit whining. My "A" game is officially in high gear Stephanie! I'm going for the big win!!! See you at beach body boot camp!
